In a week where Tesla became bigger than Ford, Steve Griffiths and Dan Hawkes were super-charged and hummed seamlessly into the studio to present another tantalizing TechTalk Show.
Now, with our first guest, if you’re a parent – this is for you. No time for the school run? Sick of taking your kids to swimming lessons (a chore that used to irk Steve greatly)? If you answered yes to either of those then you need to hear what Camron Moradi had to say. His app, One Lane, will be an earth-shattering moment for world-weary parents.
Last week’s Unboxing proved to be a rare hit, but we were back in the doldrums this week – an ‘easy to install’ device was well beyond Dan’s know-how.
It also happened to be #WorldPhysicalFitnessDay – so it seemed apt that we heard from a couple more of the companies that we met at the Wearable Technology Show recently. Lyte’s SunnyCam will have you on your feet, while ActivInsights are keeping you fighting fit.

While Samsung were busy releasing their new phone (hopefully one that doesn’t explode), Steve Griffiths and Dan Hawkes were on fire in the TechTalk studio – hopefully it was nothing to do with the curry that they’d eaten the night before.
Now we know our presenters’ hearing isn’t quite what it used to be, however they felt like they had the best seats in the house for Andy Taylor from FrontRow. He talked to us about his tech products which are ensuring you never miss a tip in the classroom with their sound system.
Next up there was a big HURRAH! Finally, our Unboxing product got the majority with ‘It Rocks’ – pigs do fly.
Getting us Tech Savvy this week was Steve Dann from Medical Realities. Steve’s company was one of the fantastic med tech companies that we met at the Wearable Technology Show earlier in the month.
Our last guest came to us with quite an endorsement; Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak no less! Why’s that? Well David de Min has created the Velapp app – it’s the world’s first live video editor and it’s pretty damn good…

In a week where the world celebrated International Happiness Day, Steve Griffiths and Dan Hawkes returned to the TechTalk studio with some beaming smiles because we had some great companies to speak to.
Steve has claimed that he used to struggle in exams as a child, we can believe that! First up, we heard all about a company called Scanning Pens from Jack Churchill. They could’ve helped Steve when he was a child, but they are now helping children today from all around the world.
For Unboxing this week, we’ve decided that Social Media exec Harry needs to up his game with the secret goods on offer. You might want to skip over this one and jump into the next segment.
Getting us Tech Savvy this week was Richard Little from Eversheds. Sue Nelson had spoken to him earlier in the week and got advice all about the legal side of invoicing and payments.
Our last guest on the show this week was Justin Lyon from Simudyne. Justin believes that every consequential decision should be subjected to a computer simulation to improve the chances of success. It’s an interesting concept and they have developed AI software called Providence to help make those decisions. Hopefully the software will recommend listening to the podcast all day!

Lyte - SunnyCam

We’ve come across Google Glass and Snapchat spectacles in the past, but it’s fair to say they’ve never quite taken off.
One company that have survived the test of time is Lyte, they have been developing SunnyCam – a long time before the international giants decided to jump on the bandwagon. More stylish and subtle than a GoPro – you can record the moments that you just don’t want to miss.
We had the opportunity to hear the Lyte story in more detail after a great chat with Chris Chance. Make sure you visit their website too.

We all hear about smart phones, smart watches – basically smart everything. However, smart textiles… That’s a new one for us.
Imagine walking down the street and pushing buttons on your jacket to activate the many devices that we have at our disposal these days – this is exactly what Infi-Tex are doing and Myra Waiman told us all about it. This is brilliant stuff.

We met with Joss Langford at the Wearable Technology Show where he introduced Active Insights to us. It has been developed especially for healthcare professionals who can help us to keep an eye on our health remotely. Ideal.

It’s nice to live in clean air! It makes a lot of sense, so many infections and germs are airborne – so it’s a good idea to keep it clean.
Vybra Solutions are developing a number of different purifiers and dehumidifiers for your home, school or business. As we met them at the Wearable Technology show, it only seem right that our presenter Dan modelled the version that you can wear on your neck.
Breathe easier with Vybra – check out their products online and listen to the podcast while you get online and order one.
